What have you been up to?

Ambitious. Curious. Journalist.

This is my personal blog where you can walk in my stilettos to find out what I'm up to as an apprentice reporter at a newspaper company in Suffolk.
I graduated a year ago and I have finally found a little job where I'm getting paid to come into the office once a week, where I will build up the trust of sub-editors to carry out more and more tasks.
This will hopefully guide me on the right path to my ideal journalism career.
I hope you enjoy my ramblings! Feel free to get involved and join me on my journey.
I will appreciate all advice, as well as hopefully providing advice and open discussions to those who haven't a clue on where they will end up in the journalistic field...

People who are already successful journalists, please get in touch!

This is what I wrote 7 months ago when I was still at Uni, about to graduate...

  • Write songs/poems
  • Draw pretty things in sketch book
  • Play more piano and video record me doing them. My talent may come in handy one day.
  • Make a recording of pole dancing sessions
  • buy a pole
  • Add more vlogs etc on my youtube, to show my personality
  • Apply for anything journalistic (BBC/CHANNEL 4/SKY) to help with my career path and add onto the list of my work experiences. As I never know where I’ll end up!
  • Type up all my 8 diaries I’ve kept throughout the years of secondary school - Try and get them published!
  • Carry on enjoying the little things in life, take in the life skills I’ve learnt from university life
  • Be inspired by anything!
  • Save up for the big things in life! For example - marriage, kids, a house, emigrating etc…
  • Get involved in everything! Say yes and just do it. Take photos and write about it to keep the memories forever :)
  • Be myself no matter what happens
  • And remember, everything happens for a reason

  • It has now been 7 months...

    • I am getting a full size piano keyboard for Xmas and I am really looking forward to playing again properly!
    • I aim to buy a pole and stick it somewhere as it was something I really enjoyed! I just need £200 from somewhere...
    • I now work for Milsoms Kesgrave Hall, and absolutely loving it! It may be back to catering like I did before, but hey, I guess it's good to stick to what you know and work hard on it! The money side is doing well too!
    • I have an ISA savings account so bring on the mortgage, marriage, kids savings etc.
    • I suffered from anxiety not long ago, but it's been sorted (thanks to my wise Grandad telling me not to climb a mountain in one day) and I am trying not to over-think too much and making sure I enjoy the little things.
    • I look back at my Tumblr personal posts when I was at Uni, and wow, seemed like I was quite lonely and stressed and definitely kept my chin up. I'm giving myself a pat on the back for that!
    • I have been having MAJOR nostalgia since moving into this huge house with my younger sister - (We are house sitting for my Uncle and Aunt for 6 years, paying cheap rent, long story but we feel incredibly lucky.) I've been playing the new Pokemon Black 2, old school Crash Bandicoot, Theme Park World, and even making time to watch DVD's. At Uni, assignments and working at Wetherspoons was obviously the bane of my life, but I coped well not to worry.
    • I make sure I am socialising well; i.e, having a house warming party in a week with new and old colleagues - really looking forward to that.
Obviously this blog is meant to be for reviews, but I thought I would introduce myself a little so you know what you're letting yourself in for...

Prepare for professional posts very soon about things that are of relevance.
